New begining

I have started a new 220G tank.
it's currently cycling and is an ugly mess with algae

Well today I have decided to pick up the Blog again.  It's been a long time since I posted and the Tank has not been doing well.
I have undergone a long process of RTN and STN of most of the SPS corals in my system.  In the fall I had a brief month or 2 where I was beginning to think things where turning around. Only to loose the remaining SPS a short time later.  Despite these set backs I've discovered a renewed excitement for the rebuild of my system

So stay tuned I hope to have updates now on a more regular basis

B-Balance
Potassium Iodide Fluoride
Pohl’s Xtra
To soon to see any results but I'll keep you posted

I also am trying the new KZ Fuji Pink T5 bulbs and a 22K Auquaconnect T5 instead of Actinics.

So my wife started a 14G BioCube in mid-February. It went through the normal cycle and began the ugly algae phase. So we got a small clean up crew that included 2 rather large halloween hermits. They decimated all signs of hare algae with in 2 days. But there was still that bad brown diatoms and the cyano that occurs in new tanks. Well I've started using Reefers Best Salt in my 370G so the little 1G water changes are now done with this salt. WOW All signs of diatoms or Cyano stopped dead in there tracks. I'm not 100% sure it was the salt or just the fact that I'm not used to such a small tank cycle but the water is crystal clear and looking like a tank that has been running for a year.
We have put 5 Ricordia in the tank now and all are looking amazing.
